Smashburger is proud to support the charitable efforts of our local community's non-profit groups. Fundraising events are a popular choice of schools, PTA's and sports teams for raising money and benefiting the community.

organization can profit

Smashburger can help your organization raise money while providing an evening of FUN! Friends and families of your organization are invited at a designated time period to a Smashburger location of your choice on Long Island. Events are generally held at night, however, they could also be held at other time frames. Smashburger will donate 20% of food and beverage sales generated from the fundraiser event to your organization.

Here's how it works

If your request is approved we will contact you to come up with a date and time for your Fundraiser. Smashburger will provide you with an invitation filled in with the event information for you to copy and distribute to your local supporters.

Let the fun begin

Guests who RSVP and attend the Fundraiser must bring a printed copy of their invitation and present it to our cashier when ordering to assure that the food and beverages being purchased will be counted in the total tally for your event. Within one week after the Fundraiser, we will send your organization a check for 20% of the sales generated at the event. It's that easy!


Fundraising Application

Review the Policies and Guidelines and complete the Community Fundraiser Application Form, providing as many details as possible. Return the completed application to Smashburger for approval. The Community Fundraiser Application Form must be completed and returned to Smashburger a minimum of 30 days prior to the event for review and approval.

Policies & guidelines

Eligibility

Smashburger supports many organizations and schools in a variety of ways. However, we will not provide charitable support for organizations in the following categories:

  • Religious groups for religious purposes
  • Individuals seeking aid (scholarships, stipends, fellowships, personal assistance)
  • Organizations lacking proof of 501(c)(3) tax exempt status
  • Political organizations or candidates
  • Conferences, seminars, or reunions
  • Research projects
  • Travel for individuals or groups
  • Capital campaigns
  • For-profit ventures

Fundraising Rules

  • The Fundraising organization must provide a copy of their W9 form that verifies their EIN (or Federal Tax Identification Number). Only organizations that have a Tax Identification number may hold a Fundraiser at Smashburger.

  • Fill out a W9: In order for you to get paid, we need to set up your organization in our system. The donation check for the organization's Fundraiser will be mailed solely to the address listed on the W9.

  • Guests must present during the scheduled time of the event at Smashburger an evite invitation/flyer in order to have their food and beverage purchase counted in the total tally.

  • Seating cannot be guaranteed for large parties. Even though it is the organization's scheduled day, Smashburger cannot give preferential seating. Encourage friends and family to dine at Smashburger throughout the day. Parties of more than 10 will need to contact Smashburger for seating approval. A large party may have an additional wait or may not be able to be accommodated due to business volume

  • Organizations must not distribute invitation/flyers at Smashburger  (this includes our parking lot). Distributing flyers in this manner will result in the forfeiture of the entire donation.

Promotion and Logo Usage

Any and all promotional materials using the registered logo and name of Smashburger, to be used in support of this fundraiser, must be submitted to Smashburger for its review and written approval prior to production. (This includes invitations, posters, flyers, press releases, etc.) The organizer may not use any trademarks, service marks, or other property of Smashburger Master LLC. (Smashburger) in any of its other advertising or promotional materials without the prior written approval of Smashburger.
